Dr. Manning is a 1998 graduate of Williamston High School. He decided his freshman year of college that he wanted to pursue a career in medicine and nothing could sway him from reaching that goal. He graduated from East Carolina University in 2002 with his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology. In August of 2002 Dr. Manning married his high school sweetheart, Candi Griffin Manning, who is also a Martin County native. He went on to attend medical school at the Brody School of Medicine at ECU where he graduated in 2008 followed by a family medicine residency also at the Brody School of Medicine and Pitt County Memorial Hospital (now Vidant Medical Center) where he served as Junior Chief resident and Chief resident and graduated in 2011. Dr. Manning made the choice to return home to practice medicine, where he could care for the community he loved and build his family. Dr. Manning is a devoted father of 3 children, a loving husband to his wife, and above all desires to serve The Lord Jesus in all he does. He chose to be a family medicine physician because caring for the whole family is his passion.
